How To Tell Good Weed VS Bad Weed

What should I be looking for when I buy weed?

If you have only ordered Cannabis from 202Bayside you probably don’t know what a bad weed looks like. But for those who haven´t been that lucky, here is a guide to differentiate what you have been getting from the good quality weed you deserve.

Color

GOOD:

Color is green! That can  range from lighter, frosty greens to darker, forest greens, with undertones that range from purple to rosy to golden. Maybe hints of purple, pink, blue, etc.

BAD:

Avoid dark brown, and dirty weed. Even if the majority of the bud is rusty red, brown, tan, yellow or white in color, it came from an unhealthy plant.

Structure

GOOD:

Indicas are generally tight and dense, while sativas are fluffier with more pistils, and never dry.

BAD:

When grown carelessly, indica buds can take on sativa-like appearance, with open, incomplete buds and visible stems.

Trichomes

GOOD:

Quality cannabis is dense with cannabinoid-rich, milky-white and sparkly trichome (crystal) heads

BAD:

Avoid buds that don’t look ‘frosty’ and mostly leafy as they were not grown to peak ripeness

Smell

GOOD:

Strong, pungent and identifiable aroma.

BAD:

Smells like hay, rotten or have no discernible smell at all.

Trimming

GOOD:

Cannabis buds must be trimmed in order to eliminate the leaves surrounding the bud. Quality cannabis buds should be tightly hand-trimmed to preserve trichomes and buds.

BAD:

Avoid buds that have been machine trimmed or untrimmed buds with excessive leaves.
